Help Greg and Boomer Find Stability

During this difficult time, I am swallowing my pride and asking for help.
Hello, my name is Greg, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart to ask for your help. Over the past 9-10 months, I have made some bad personal choices. Marriage to a long-time friend back on New Year's Eve started the stream of unfortunate events. When he decided our marriage wasn’t working for him, I was given a very short time to vacate the home without a full-time job or any place to go. A friend living in New Orleans offered me a place to stay to get on my feet, and at the same time, help him deal with some personal demons in the likes of alcoholism. I moved down early August. I quickly learned that someone who doesn’t want help can’t be helped. Twice within a three-week period, I had to call 911 because I found him unresponsive. I left his home and stayed in an Airbnb that belongs to a good friend that I met here in NOLA. Boomer and I are very grateful, but I realize this is income that he could be bringing in with actual tenants. In order to stay or find another temporary housing solution, I am creating this GoFundMe to help me out of a rut while I search for gainful employment here in New Orleans, which will then enable me to find more permanent housing. I made the decision to turn in my leased vehicle also as I have no means of paying for it (the lease was up and on a month-to-month basis).
I will need to pay for lodging, food, and transportation for myself and Boomer. Most places are close enough to do on foot. If you know me, you know I’m not equipped to live on the street.
While I am doing everything I can to stay positive and strong, the reality is I’m feeling defeated, lost, and broken.
Every dollar helps!
I understand that times are tough for everyone, and I am deeply grateful for any contribution you can make. Whether it’s donating, sharing this campaign, or offering words of encouragement, your support means the world to me and Boomer. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this GoFundMe with your friends and family to help spread the word.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity, kindness, and support.
With deepest and heartfelt gratitude,
Greg
