Some of you know that I’ve been diagnosed with an inoperable sarcoma. It’s apparently a somewhat rare cancer :-( and will require specialized treatment. Fortunately, I’ve been accepted as a patient by the Sarcoma Institute at Emory in Atlanta. This is good news, except that I live in Louisiana.

A good friend in Marietta is going to take me in for however long this adventure takes, for which I am very, very grateful. But I am going to need funds to get there, to handle co-pays, and to help my friend Mattie take care of the house, the cats, and the birds in my absence. I’ve no idea what lies ahead, and I’m trying not to ask for too much. I am so grateful for anything you may be able to send, most especially your good wishes. Thank you so much!
