Our local school has been devastated.
Over the summer holidays, Greenfields Junior School was broken into, resulting in extensive damage to the building and equipment. This mindless act has left the Greenfields Junior School community heartbroken and facing a huge challenge as they try to repair the destruction and ensure children return to a safe, welcoming learning environment.
What happened?
The intruders caused widespread damage:
Windows, doors, and interactive whiteboards destroyed
Lockers broken into; laptops and iPads stolen
Paint and oil poured across walls and electrical equipment
Phones and electrics wiped out
Bathrooms under refurbishment severely damaged – smashed sinks, toilets, and tiles
This is not just a financial blow – it's a violation of a place where children should feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn.
How you can help:
I would hope that most of the damage is covered by insurance, but there may be costs that are not.
We are raising funds to help cover costs not covered by insurance, and additional funds can go towards security for the school and/or new equipment to aid the children's education.
Every donation, big or small, makes a difference.
If you can support, please donate and share this page with your networks.
Together, we can help Greenfields get back on its feet in time for the new school year.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support.

I am not officiated with the Friends of Green Oaks Charity.
All funds will be directly transferred from GoFundMe to The Friends of Green Oaks PTA. Funds not used for repairs/replacement equipment, will be used to purchase items the school can use to the benefit the education of our children.
