Help Grebow Fam. Recover After Home Destroyed in Eaton Fire.

**Young Family Loses Their Home and All Belongings in Eaton Wildfire**

We’re raising funds for the wonderful Grebow family, who lost their Altadena home and all of its contents in the Eaton fire during the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 8th. Out of an abundance of caution for their three young children, Carmina and Dan chose to evacuate on Tuesday night. With daughters Alba (5), Ellie (3), and son Sam (1), they were reasonably concerned about the air quality. However, no one in their community could have imagined that the Eaton fire would spread so far into the neighborhoods of Altadena.

An evacuation order was finally issued at 3 a.m. on Wednesday. Just a few hours later their home was completely destroyed by the fire.

As this is an unprecedented event, most of their neighborhood fled with very little—often just the clothes on their backs. While Carmina and Dan are grateful to have had two days' worth of clothing for each family member and to all be safe, they have lost their home and everything inside it.

This loss goes far beyond material possessions. These were homes—places full of memories and meaning. For the Grebow family, this was the home where they brought all three of their children home from the hospital. It was the only home they’ve known as a couple, and one that Dan had lovingly remodeled much of himself. Over the years, it has been a gathering spot and a source of comfort and connection for many of us.

Though the financial toll of this tragedy is still unknown, we are raising funds to help with the Grebow family’s immediate needs: food, clothing, and shelter. As a community, let’s come together to ease the financial burden on Carmina and Dan so they can focus on caring for their three small children, who have lost the only home they’ve ever known—their place of comfort, safety, familiarity, joy, and peace.

Though things will not be the same, we can help make tomorrow a bit more feasible and hopeful for this sweet family.
