Help Graysen Fight Diabetes and Recover

My name is Siobhan smisek, I have 4 kids Piper 15, Graysen 10, Paisley 6, and Presleigh 7 months. On Monday January 6th my son Graysen was feeling under the weather. I figured it was influenza A as we had some family who also had influenza A. Tuesday Graysen got worse he was vomiting and not really keeping down any fluids. On Wednesday morning when my mom went to check on Graysen he was almost unresponsive, they rushed him to the ER where he was diagnosed with Influenza A and Type 1 diabetes (we had no idea he was diabetic). His little body was in Diabetic ketoacidosis, complication of diabetes in which acids build up in the blood to levels that can be life-threatening.

Graysen was intubated and helicoptered to children’s hospital, he is currently stable and doctors and nurses are working slowly bring down his glucose levels! This is a very scary time for our family, please pray for Graysen and his recovery. Our family has had a rough last couple of months. My husband lost his job and I was supposed to start working again on Monday. If anyone is willing to help us out it would be greatly appreciated as we are trying to stay close to Graysen at this time! Thank you all for your love and support I will keep everyone updated.
