Help Gray with Surgery for Broken Pelvis
Donation protected
Hi all of my Bring Ace Home fur warriors. This is Cheri and I am in desperate need of assistance for one of my feral cats. Last September Gray and her siblings were re-homed due to my move out of the state. I have shed many many tears over this decision, but we knew we could not take three semi feral cats with us, along with our other two cats and a dog. I did a lot of research and put a lot of thought into what would be best for the cats. A lovely woman in Culpepper was thrilled to welcome them into her family. It was perfect. While they were acclimating to their new home, on day 2, Gray got out and disappeared. We spent many hours making phone calls and cried many tears trying to locate her from a distance. I now questioned my decision. Fast forward to 2/22/22. I got a phone call that the microchip registered to me, had been scanned and Gray was found. My heart exploded with joy. But there was a problem. Gray has been hit by a car and has a fractured pelvis. A bad fracture. Euthanasia is not an option. This cat survived the harsh winter, a car accident and dragged her battered body up to a wonderful family's front porch and begged for help. I cannot turn my back on her now. But help comes with a price... a big price. The surgeon says she needs her pelvis plated and the cost is around $4000. The vet is concerned that if left untreated, the fractured bone, that is dangerously close to the bowel, will perforate it. I am in no position to cover this cost by myself. I am asking for your assistance.... I am begging for it. I have never asked for financial help in my life, but I need to this time. Please help me save this beautiful cat, who has proven she wants to live. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
