Help Gray Achieve Gender Affirmation

Hi! My name is Ginger, and I am the mom of a soon to be adult trans person. Gray needs two gender affirming surgeries. I won't be more specific, in order to protect their privacy. At this moment, we are very unclear on if they will even be covered by insurance, and at least one is unavailable in network. This number is very out of reach for us, and given the current administration's targeting of trans people, and the fact that NC has already passed legislation targeting trans kids within the past two years, we've decided we simply cannot wait.

This number is our best estimate of out of pocket expenses for the actual surgeries plus associated expenses. If by chance there is any leftover, it will be put towards the semester of school Gray will be forced to miss due to the medical restrictions. They've been cleared to take the semester off with no penalty, however they will miss out on those classes being free to them.
