Grant’s Traumatic Brain Injury recovery fund
Donation protected
My newlywed sister Kristen and brother in law Grant were having a normal Friday night in their new home when in an instant things became their worst nightmare. Grant suffered a serious fall from the attic of their home early Saturday morning, May 1st, that resulted in a traumatic brain injury. He had an epidural and subdural hematoma (brain bleed) and underwent emergent brain surgery with a craniotomy. The surgery was successful and he remains stable but in a coma. The doctors plan on keeping him sedated on a ventilator for at least another two days before they try to get him to wake up. We know he has signs of brain damage; however, we do not know the extent or what the long term effects will include. We have been told that it will be a long road to recovery and he will be in the hospital for likely several months. He will need another surgery in 3-6 weeks to replace the part of his skull that was removed during the initial surgery. We anticipate many months of therapy and rehab thereafter. Grant is loved by so many, and he is fighting for all of us. We need prayers that he will wake up for us soon, get the treatment he needs, and be home with his family. We will share updates as much as we can.
