Hello, our names are Sapir and Ella and we are very good friends.
This year we are celebrating our Bat Mitzvahs and in honor of our Bat Mitzvah we want to do something good for the world.
There is a boy in our neighborhood named Kedem and he is sick with cancer.
Our families are good friends and he was in the hospital a lot this year instead of being with friends at school, so we want to help him fly to Disneyland.
Can you help us make his dream come true?

*WE HAVE SPOKEN TO ALL THE ORGANIZATIONS (MAKE A WISH ISRAEL AND US, CHAILIFE LINE, GREATER THAN LIFE ETC.) THAT HELP FUND DISNEY TRIPS FOR KIDS WITH CANCER AND AS KEDEM IS BEING TREATED IN ISRAEL AND NOT THE US HE WAS NOT ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE FUNDING WHICH IS WHY THE GIRLS DECIDED TO RAISE THE FUNDS THEMSELVES. *

Let’s get to know Kedem:

Kedem is an incredibly sweet, uniquely curious, and fiercely bright boy and he’s probably a lot like your amazing school-age child.
He loves playing the drums, reading comics, playing Minecraft, Pokemon, Star Wars, Harry Potter, playing with legos, reading books, hearing Baal Shem Tov stories, doing mad libs, learning new things, joking around, and being with his family and friends.

His parents, Shosh and Reuven, are both beloved educators: Shosh, as a lecturer and teacher of organic gardening and youth education; and Reuven, as a guide and teacher for Israel tour groups. They are extraordinarily warm, kind, and hardworking people, and are exceptional parents to their three children—Shemaiah, Kedem, and Tifert.

On January 29, 2023, Kedem was diagnosed with an extremely aggressive form of medulloblastoma, a malignant and life-threatening pediatric brain cancer.
Kedem’s cancer was immediately diagnosed as late-stage, having metastasized significantly throughout his entire brain and spinal cord.

Kedem has already had multiple small brain surgeries followed by a procedure for retrieving bone marrow stem cells, an intense six-week period of daily chemotherapy coupled with high-dose craniospinal photon radiation followed by six monthly cycles of high-dose chemotherapy which he has just now completed. At the end of October he has a one month break from treatment before returning home for another 6 months of treatment.

A few weeks back Shosh, Kedem’s mother, shared on her FB feed a little story that happened when she took Kedem bowling to escape the confines of the hospital walls for a few hours.
In the car Shosh randomly said out loud:
"It's worth the price because raspberries are the point of life" And Kedem perked right up and said "No, fun is the point of life. And I'm going to have as much fun as I can before I die."

Shosh continued to share in this FB post that Keden often says things like "there are good and bad things about having cancer", and then he'll list all the good things: the gifts, the extra screen time, having a dog, the non stop flow of kindness from strangers and friends, and the special time with his parents. And a few weeks ago Shosh had the courage to ask Kedem "so what are the bad parts of having cancer?" and he looked at her and said "all of the suffering I go through".

And THIS is the reason why Ella and Sapir have chosen this fundraising project as their Bnot Mitzvah project. They want Kedem’s fun and joy to outweigh all the pain he has had to endure, and perhaps this will allow him to suffer just a little bit less.

These funds raised will pay for a very special family vacation for 5:
RT flights from NJ-MCO
Travel insurance for the full 5 days
4 nights of lodging at Disney
2-day Disney park tickets
1-day Universal Studios ticket
Parking at park
Extra Halloween party at Disney
Wheelchair rental
All meals
Gas

Please help Ella and Sapir take this beautiful, kind and loving family away for a family vacation to Disney that they will cherish forever. Collectively, let’s be the magic and joy that adds to Kedem’s happiness that aids in his complete healing.
