Help Grangie Be Painfreecreas to Support Her Kids

Most of my loved ones know me as "Grangie" - I became a grandma in 2019 and my wonderful oldest son and my soon-to-be daughter-in love put my name (Angie) together with Granny, because of my enjoyment of a good pun. I am having a total Pancreatectomy on July 22, 2022 after a long battle with chronic pancreatitis and acute pancreatic attacks. I had Kidney Cancer in 2014 with a partial Nephrectomy of my right kidney, and will most likely get Cancer again because I had it at such a young age. So, in addition to alleviating the excruciating pain, this is also a preventative measure so I do not get Pancreatic Cancer. I will be in the hospital 7-10 days minimum, cannot lift anything over 15 pounds for 6-8 weeks after, and am looking at about 6 months total before I can really physically work or do much. They will be removing my entire pancreas, my bile duct, part of my intestine system, and part of my spleen. (Thank God I have insurance!) I had to take medical leave from my 50+ hours physically demanding restaurant job last year (where I worked my way up from Server to General Manager over 3 years time) because my constant pain, nausea, and meds were affecting my brain and it was interfering with my job (I ended not being a good GM) That restaurant closed a few months after. (They have another restaurant in town and I have tried serving there a handful of times.) I am also blessed a friend if mine, who is like a daughter to me, bought a trailer for me to move into- after living in my current apartment for almost 4 years, because I cannot afford it anymore. I am paying her back in monthly payments. But, I was honest with my county worker, of course, and they considered it income. So, I haven't had any assistance since April and probably won't be eligible for a few more months. (Except I get $110 in food support a month.) I do not receive child support and my ex-husband cannot help me. I have taken this time to try and push through the pain and I got my GED, started college, and tried to find odd jobs to support my two kiddos still at home. Now, it'll be almost impossible to work at all for awhile after my surgery. I picked a pretty high number that would hopefully get us through the next six months. But, anything at all will help. The money will be going for current bills (utilities, rent, etc.), groceries, and other necessities. After I heal, I can even pay any of you back slowly or definitely pay-it-forward where I can. If, God forbid, something happens to me during the surgery- the money would still be going to help my kids. I plan on fighting for a long life and hold my great-grandbabies someday. Thank you for donating or sharing or even just taking the time to read and consider my fundraiser.
