My grandpa is 80 years old and has always been the heart of our family, spending his days working with his sawmill and building things for his loved ones. Recently, a devastating fire destroyed his barn, taking with it not only his sawmill—which he relied on for his livelihood—but also irreplaceable family belongings. Among the items lost were his grandparents', parents', and children's keepsakes, as well as his cherished Model A, Model T, Harley, and lawnmower. The loss has been overwhelming, both emotionally and financially, as so much history and hard work went up in flames.

The funds raised through this campaign will help my papaw replace his sawmill so he can begin to rebuild his barn and restore his sense of purpose. We hope to recover as much as possible that was engulfed in the fire, giving him the chance to stay busy and continue doing what he loves. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping him get back on his feet and replace what was lost.
