To our Friends and family,
I am Michelle O'Dell, writing this on behalf of my dad Rolando Robledo.
We want to share the opportunity to give back to someone who has given his whole life to the ones he loves.
In early March 2022, Rolando Robledo was diagnosed with Stage IV Colorectal Adenocarcinoma, a common form of colon cancer. It all started when he lost his appetite, and an otherwise healthy man noticed something wasn’t right. Weeks of testing, and here we are, bearing the truth of our new reality that our dad, grandpa, husband and friend were in the fight of his life.
We have a treatment plan in place that should start in the next few weeks, including chemotherapy, dietary lifestyle changes, and hopefully a surgery that could be a miracle. Health insurance combined with the love and support of his family is in place, but to ease at least the financial weight of this new reality, we all want to give you the opportunity to give to his cause.
Rolando is one of the hardest-working individuals many of us who know him have ever seen. He is a household legend in many of our hearts and minds for his work ethic. We have many shared memories, like the time just a few years ago during a horrible snowstorm that shut the city down. Rolando walked 3 miles in the snow to get to work! Rolando has worked as a lead for a parts manufacturing company in Carrollton, TX, for the past 42 years, working side jobs on the weekends, and has provided the best life he could for his six kids and 11 grandchildren.
The Bible says in Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
This verse rings true as the battle cry of faith our families will set our hearts and prayers as we stand with Rolando during this time. We stand with him, trusting that God is working for the good and that Rolando’s purpose and destiny are not over! God is working ALL things, even in the darkest of times, for all of our sound. So we stand on that promise in the name of Jesus!
Rolando and his lovely wife Maria are humble, hardworking people who have worked so hard and given so much. Now it’s our turn to give back to them for the endless sacrifices for their family. We hope to do that with more than just sending them thoughts and prayers but putting a tangible blessing in their household finances with this fund.
Sincerely,
The Robledo Family.
