My wife’s grandpa has always been a quiet, resilient man who never complains, no matter what life throws at him. Recently, a family member visiting him in Brazil found him in distress—there was blood all over his bed, and he had lost control of his bowel movements. He was scared to go to the hospital, but his condition was so serious that he had no choice. When he arrived, the hospital was packed, and the only place available for him to rest and receive blood transfusions was a chair.

He needs urgent blood transfusions because he lost so much blood, but the hospital’s resources are stretched thin. He’s facing this ordeal with incredible courage, but the situation is far from comfortable or safe. Our family is deeply worried, and we want to do everything we can to help him get the care he needs.

Donations to this fundraiser will go directly toward private medical care, so he can have his own doctor and a proper bed instead of staying in a crowded hospital. The funds will also help with transportation and allow family members to visit and support him. If we’re able to raise enough, we hope to move him to a better facility or arrange for home care, giving him the comfort and dignity he deserves.
