"Grandma touched her grandchild’s hand and whispered “it will be alright." This is what grandma’s do! Grandma are strong they show no fear no tears. But today is different. After several challenges this grandma is facing fear and tears. My name is Grandma Perci, I have dedicated my life, my teachings to be of service. My focus is helping our youth and elders to find joy and laughter in their lives.

Our recent challenges have led us to a place that is uncomfortable. Our apartment was flooded, which temporarily displaced us, our vehicle is in need of repair and due to our age and health, our lives have become filled with fear. Medical expenses and accommodations are overwhelming. But now due to the recent flood we are now dealing with hotel expenses and food and added travel costs while our apartment is being repaired. We need assistance to get back to managing our life."

Grandma P and her husband B have a household that includes their grown son and 2 grandkids that are in elementary school. Due to the situation she describes, they are facing eviction if they can't pay their rent and fees in full by 5/10/25. The apartment is almost ready for them to come back--but they might lose it! Grandma P's leadership in her community has been lifesaving to many. Now she and her family need us! --Sarah
