Help Grandma Luba escape Ukraine
Donation protected
Dear Friends. My name is Rob (left side), pictured here with my wife, Zlatoslava, and stepson. Zlata is a first generation Ukrainian-American, a self-made nurse practitioner, and proudly serving our country in the USAF.
My wife's parents, sister and niece live in Kiev. They are in a very dangerous situation and we are trying to get them out. The costs to transport them to safe housing, and then bring them to the US will be great.
My mother-in-law, Luba, is elderly and disabled. We are arranging to transport her to Poland. I will fly to Poland to help Luba escape to the United States.
This plan requires airplane tickets, both directions from California to Poland for myself, and one-way from Poland to the US for Luba. Additionally, ground transport for Luba, housing for Luba for a few days, and ground transportation for myself. Because it is difficult for Luba to walk, she has only a small bag of personal items. She will need food, clothing and everything else when she arrives.
At this time, we are looking for help to offset the costs of plane tickets, temporary housing, and ground transportation in Ukraine and Poland, to RESCUE Babushka Luba!
Plane tickets will cost approximately $2500. Housing will be approximately $70-$100 per night. Ground transportation, approximately $300; plus food and anything else Luba needs. My goal, $3000 will greatly help to offset these costs.
Thank you so much for any amount you can contribute.
