Help My Grandma Heal and Rest—She Deserves a Break

Hi everyone,

I’m writing this with a heavy heart, hoping to find some love and support for one of the strongest and most selfless women I’ve ever known—my grandmother.

She’s 67 years old and still works full-time at a laundry factory just to keep things going. On top of that, she’s the main caregiver for my grandfather, who suffered a stroke and now relies on her daily. Despite everything, she wakes up every day and does what needs to be done—with love, strength, and never a single complaint.

Right now, she’s going through even more than usual.

On May 10th She needs laser eye surgery for cataracts—something that’s affecting her vision and making it harder to work and care for my grandpa. The surgery costs $5,000, and after the procedure, she’ll have to take at least two weeks off work to recover, without any income during that time.

As if that wasn’t enough, her brother—whom she was very close to—just passed away in North Carolina. She wants to help cover his final services and bring closure to the family, but that will cost another $3,000.

This year has brought so much pain and stress for her, and it breaks my heart to see her trying to carry it all alone. She’s always been the one giving—her time, her love, her strength. I want her to know that she doesn’t have to face this all by herself. I want to give her the chance to heal, to grieve, and to finally rest.

Our goal is $10,000. This will cover:

• $5,000 for her cataract laser surgery

• $3,000 for her brother’s final services

• $2,000 to help cover her basic needs while she recovers and can’t work
