Early in the morning on November 2, 2025, our family lost someone very special. Bernie passed away at 2:10 AM, leaving behind his wife of 56 years, our Grandma Candy. They loved each other deeply and built their whole life together around family and hard work.

Bernie worked for years at a company that promised a pension he faithfully paid into, but when the company was sold, the new owner stole the employees’ retirement funds. That left Bernie with nothing to show for decades of work, and while they have always found a way to make ends meet with a smile on their face, Candy is facing uncertain times with a list of new expenses.

We're trying to cover her monthly bills and give Bernie the proper goodbye he deserves. We’re hoping to raise $5,000 to help ease some of that burden.
