We are reaching out to you on behalf of our dear friends, the Downey family from Fortuna. Their 2-year-old son Graham recently suffered a heartbreaking accident. On July 13th, 2024, he fell into a smoldering campfire, resulting in severe 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his leg and hand. Since then, Graham has been receiving care at a hospital outside our area.

The latest update from the doctors is that Graham will require skin grafts on both his hand and leg. This means an extended hospital stay of at least another 7-10 days. As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for the Downey family emotionally, physically, and financially.
