On April 5th, my son and your friend Dave Grady was admitted to CCH with severe anemia. After multiple blood transfusions, further testing was done confirming he had a medium-sized tumor in his colon. Surgery was performed to remove the tumor, but a biopsy showed the cancer had spread to his lymph nodes. He was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer that would require chemotherapy every two weeks (for 3 consecutive days) for the next six months.

He started chemotherapy May 24 and will finish between Thanksgiving and Christmas. There will be unknown challenges as the months go by. His wife Debra and daughter Julia are his strength and foundation. His employer, Bobby Byrnes/The Lanes, has been extraordinarily supportive and accommodating. The medical bills are already adding up quickly and chemo has just begun. If possible, please donate any amount you can.
