Help Graciela fight Stage 4 Breast Cancer!

My name is Valentina and I'm fundraising for my mom, Graciela, who is currently fighting stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. In December of 2020 she found a lump in her breast. By February 2021 we knew it was stage 3, possibly stage 4 breast cancer (ER+/PR+ and HER2−). By June she had started a treatment plan that was given to her by her oncologist, which included Ibrance. A few months later, in October, she had a full body scan to check the progress of her treatment. That is when we officially diagnosed it as stage 4 as the cancer had spread to her bones, spine, liver, hips, lymph nodes in the underarms and collarbones. Her oncologist is hopeful and very positive that they can get on top of it with the right treatment plan, we just have to see what is going to work for her. So as we explore our options and find a way to move forward with new treatment, we are going to need help! We are going to need help with the cost of treatment due to no medical insurance. Stage 4 is a type of cancer that will always be in her body and will require constant management and treatment. She will in treatment for the rest of her life.. but she is ready to fight and so are we! In addition to treatment and management funding, we also need help with funds for bills. My sister and I had to completely take over my mom's bills when she stopped working in September due to bone pains. As she prepares to begin a harsher treatment, she will not be returning to work. My sister is working 2 jobs from day to night to maintain our family afloat and I am trying my best to help with funds, but it is difficult as I became a new mom this year.

 

I never thought I would find myself in this position. I need my mom to fight hard so we can grow old and grey together. She still has so much life left to live, she is only 49 years old. There is no love like a mother's love. She sold her wedding rings and everything else she owned when I was 4 years old to bring my siblings and I to the United States to give us a better life. We need that mother's love and guidance for a while longer. If you are able and if you feel called to, please help with whatever you can.

Mi hermana tiene 2 trabajos de día a noche para mantener a flote a nuestra familia y estoy haciendo todo lo posible para ayudar con los fondos, pero es difícil ya que me convertí en una nueva mamá este año.

 

Nunca pensé que me encontraría en esta posición. Necesito que mi mamá luche duro para que podamos envejecer y envejecer juntos. Todavía le queda mucha vida por vivir, solo tiene 49 años. No hay amor como el amor de una madre. Vendió sus anillos de boda y todo lo que tenía cuando yo tenía 4 años para traerme a los Estados Unidos y darme una vida mejor.
