Friends and Family,
I am coming to ask for help for my parents. As you may know, they lost their dog, Vera, on July 19th, after loving her for almost 12 years. Their hearts were shattered, but they decided to go to a reputable shelter in the area last Saturday to adopt a puppy in hopes of filling an empty, lonely house with some joy. They brought home little Gracie Rae around 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 26th, and by Tuesday morning at 6:00 A.M., my dad brought her to the Mount Laurel Animal Hospital. Gracie was diagnosed with Parvovirus and admitted to the ICU. My parents were told that she had a 90% survival rate on Tuesday, but it dropped to 50% yesterday once she was diagnosed with pneumonia as well. Gracie has had a plasma transfusion, she has been put on oxygen, and is getting around-the-clock care… which is very expensive. This is where they need our help. I’m asking that if you could donate any amount towards Gracie’s medical bills, to please do so, even $20.00 would be a huge help. My parents want to give Gracie the best chance at survival… but cannot afford to keep saying, “yes” every time the hospital calls. Gracie’s bill is at around $16,300.00 as of this evening. The vet called at 6:00 P.M. and asked to do another plasma transfusion as she believes it would benefit Gracie greatly. Gracie was actually up and walking around a bit, so I believe that the treatment and prayers are working. If you could help my parents financially, even in a small way, I know they would appreciate it. If you can’t, we ask that you continue to pray for Gracie. Thank you for considering helping my family.
