Help Gracie Get a Dental

Hi All,

 

Gracie has been off the street and living a cozy indoor life for the last 5 months now. As you will recall, she ended up being adopted by her former feeder! At the time of her rescue, she was seen by a vet for an exam, received vaccines, and had her teeth checked. It was determined she would need a dental, but at the time there was no immediate rush.

 

Fast-forward to now, and poor Gracie is having trouble eating and in pain as the result of her remaining teeth. She has even been a bit negligent with her grooming. I brought her to her vet exam today (which Greenpoint Cats hooked up for her!), and the vet said she needs a dental (they will pull her few, remaining, rotted teeth) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE in order for her to feel better.

 

We covered today's $470 vet visit (which included the cost to run panels on both her blood and her stool sample), but will need help to cover the cost of the dental itself.

 

Greenpoint Cats has been helpful in scheduling the visits for both Gracie and Birdie (f/k/a "Caddy"), however, the rescue is run solely on donations (and all too often, funds straight out of the owner's pockets...) and is currently low on funds as the result of recent rescues, sick and injured kitties, cats who have suffered the trauma of being hit by cars, etc. It is simply never ending.

 

We do not want Gracie's current owner to have to pay for the dental cleaning/extractions herself, since she thought the cat she was adopting was in good-health and wouldn't require any immediate medical attention when she opted to take Gracie in back in May.
