We want to say a heartfelt thank you to all of those who helped us make our dream of having a daughter, Gracelyn, possible. Thanks to your generous gifts, and the amazing financial support of my parents (my mother and late father), as well as our own savings, we were able to do IVF to conceive. We are so grateful to have her in our lives and every day is so special now that she's here.
We always envisioned having two children and even more so, we see Gracie with the potential to be such an amazing big sister. We desperately want to give her a sibling. However, now that we are looking at doing IVF again, there have been quite a few road blocks and barriers to making this happen. It was suggested by people close to us that we create a GoFundMe page.
I had to have a surgery to make it possible to do IVF again, and that surgery wasn't successful, so we are now needing to pay out of pocket for a second surgery. We also have the expense of doing an IVF implantation and it is not likely that the first time will take, meaning we will likely have to try two or three times to be successful. As a woman, and a mother, this has been heartbreaking for me. We saved money to be able to do one round of IVF, but with the unforeseen medical expenses, we just do not have the means to continue on without help.
Jon and I both work important jobs, Jon for a Detox Facility helping those struggling with addiction and I work in social work with adults with disabilities and county mental health clients. We love what we do, we have great jobs, and we love contributing to our community, but without help, these medical expenses are too much on our salaries alone.
We would be so eternally grateful for the opportunity to complete our family by having one more child. We would be so grateful to have the opportunity to give Gracie a sibling. We would love the opportunity to pay for my medical care and get me to a place where I can carry another baby.
We believe strongly that completing our family is what the universe has in store for us, we have the dream, we just need to get there. We love you all and as hard as it is to ask for help again, we are here.
Thank you for hearing our story and for considering.
