Hey everyone, this is Jake, I am Grace's older brother. Like me, Grace has cystic fibrosis. Unlike me who was put on disability, Grace has just been denied. 3 years ago, before I was put on disability when I hit rock bottom, Grace made a go fund me for me. At first I was furious because I never saw myself as a charity case. But then I accepted because of the love behind it and it got me through a dark time in my life.

Now I can see Grace needs that same love and support I did. She doesn't know about this, just like I didn't know about the one she made for me but my heart is telling me this is the right thing to do.

I love Grace with all my heart, she is my best friend and she is so deserving. All she does is help others and never puts herself first. She is scared right now and panicking, she doesn't know what to do.

She is appealing the decision and hopefully WILL be granted disability eventually but this fund is to help her get through that waiting period. She is currently renting a 1 bedroom apartment all by herself with her name on the lease. She can't afford to have roommates because it is too risky in the pandemic with her cystic fibrosis.

Anything you can give to my sister is appreciated so much. Anyone that has even taken the time to read this, I love you deeply from the bottom of my heart. I wish I could fix this for Grace all by myself, but if she has taught me anything it's that it's ok to ask for help sometimes.

Grace is actually doing ok health-wise thanks to Trikrafta, the new CF drug that came out in November 2019. But I need to keep her safe and make sure she doesn't put herself at risk just to try to make ends meet financially.
