On October 25, 2021, Grace's husband, Gabriel Alvarez, was tragically killed in a construction accident while at work. At the time of the accident, Grace was 39 weeks pregnant with their second child - a boy. Gabriel also leaves behind his 5-year old daughter with Grace and a 12-year old daughter from a prior marriage.

 

There are no words to adequately express the shock, pain, and trauma that Grace and Gabriel's families are enduring. What should have been a a joyous and blessed event in their lives has been mired by a devastating and unexpected tragedy, reminding us all that life is fragile and often subject to forces beyond our control.
