This Fundraiser is created on behalf of Grace Katharina Lueaking and her two daughters (Me) Shawn Abigail Luedtke and Amor Lueaking.
On Thursday February 11th at 2 am, Our Mother woke up with a massive headache, not able to breath, suddenly collapsed and unresponsive. With the help of her (19year) old Daughter Amor Lueaking, call 911 and our mom was rushed with an ambulance to the emergency room at the University of Wisconsin hospital and clinics in Madison, Wisconsin.
Due to Covid we were not allowed to enter the hospital. What came after shocked my sister and I over the phone. The trauma team informed us that my mom suffered from a brain bleed that was found on her CT Scan. Immediately the doctors completed a procedure to relieve the pressure off her brain via a drain. And due to her not breathing on her own, she was intubated, sedated and was placed in the ICU at the UW hospital in order to keep her stable. After two days an angiogram was performed. It was determined that our mom has suffered from (AVM) Arteriovenous Malformation, according to her team of Neurologists.
Our mom Grace Lueaking is currently in a Barbiturate-induce coma at University of Wisconsin Neurology Intensive Care Unit. The Unit and the team of Doctors are working hard to take care of our mother Grace, and waiting to have the brain bleed subside and to determined what should be done next. The next step will be surgical intervention.
Mom was always a handworker, taking care of her children on her own and even helping others out when she can. She has had two Jobs, working at Exact sciences and Home Depot, both in customer service. Those who know my mom Grace, either through family, work, or socially knew she always had a high-spirited personality. Seeing her in this state breaks my heart. With tears, and emotional pain inside. My sister and I know that we have to be strong for her, and to take care of her when she has recovered. We also have a great support system from our families, friends and co-workers emotionally with encouraging phone call, messages, cards and prayers.
My sister Amor Lueaking (19 years) currently lives with my mom. She just started college last fall, but now she took the responsibility having two jobs to keep up with bills on mom’s behalf, along with my help Shawn Luedtke (31 years) her older daughter, who is married and has a 8 year old child to care for.
Even though my mom has health Insurance, the cost of my mom (Grace Lueaking) other bills can be very overwhelming.
Asking for help is not easy, but we are asking sincerely for your help and support. If you are able to support Grace Lueaking (Mom). It would greatly be appreciated.
