after initially achieving my goal, songbird suffered a catastrophic loss . Due to circumstances out of my control she is sadly being retired due to a life threatening accident that left her suffering structural integrity. While she saved my life I despite some impressive piloting and seamanship was unfortunately unable to save her as it stands Songbird is going through the VTIP with FWC leaving me in need of a home. . Any money raised will be going towards the purchase of Songbird II and continuing the journey on back to Detroit. Any amount helps myself and Eros find our next home and continue the journey.

I've been a nomad since I was 14, and this is the longest I've ever stayed in one area, and it's lowkey killing me lol. So the time has come to wander once again, this time on a boat!

I've been very fortunate that I've been offered and accepted a Halman 27’ Horizon for $2,500. The boat is in good shape with new sails, and what amounts to a new inboard diesel. The seller is another member of the Nomadic community who wants to see this dream become a reality.

My long-term goal is to roam between Puerto Rico and Detroit. My goal for the first year is to sail north to Detroit in the spring of 2026, traveling up the East Coast, and through the Lake Erie Canal back to Detroit. In November, I'll demast and head back to Florida.

The money raised will be used to purchase the boat and needed equipment for the boat. After boarding, I'll be living off my VA disability and photography.
