My name is Heather Martin, Aunt of Grace Halderman, and I am also a resident of Burlington, Washington. I have seen first-hand the devastation this flood has caused so many people. I am posting this fundraiser with the hopes of helping Grace and Brent get back on their feet as quickly as possible by covering the many costs that insurance will not cover.
Grace Halderman and her husband Brent are a young couple from Burlington, Washington, who recently experienced a devastating flood in their very first home. The water caused significant damage, destroying many of their belongings and leaving them with a long road to recovery. As they navigate the aftermath, they are facing not only the emotional toll of losing cherished items but also the financial burden of restoring their home to a safe and livable condition.
While they do have flood insurance, it unfortunately will not cover the replacement of many essential belongings. On top of that, the deductible required to begin repairs on their home is substantial, adding even more stress to an already overwhelming situation. Grace and Brent are doing their best to stay strong, but the challenges they face are more than any young couple should have to bear alone.
Grace and Brent are not the type to ask for help, which is why I am reaching out on their behalf. If you are able, any support you can offer will go directly toward helping them replace what was lost and cover the costs of repairing their home. Your kindness and generosity will mean the world to them as they work to rebuild and move forward from this difficult chapter.
