Govita is my service dog and has been by my side for years. Now age 10, she needs dental surgery for a loose tooth that is bothering her and at risk of infection. Along with the extraction, she will receive a full oral health exam, assessment, and cleaning. This is very expensive for us after a number of unexpected expenses, including veterinary care, that have drained our reserves.

Last fall, Govita developed ear infections that took a few weeks to treat. In January, she began treatment for a ruptured anal gland. Her final antibiotic infusion was February 5, 2026, at which time the veterinarian recommended that the loose tooth be extracted along with providing an oral health assessment, exam, and cleaning. Her other teeth appear to be in good health, but this procedure is necessary to keep her healthy and comfortable.

Govita is not only my service dog upon whom I depend, but also a beloved family member for whom I’d do anything, including asking for help.
