My name is Goutham Chadalla Manjunath, and I am from Bangalore, India. In 2022, I moved to the United States on an F1 visa to pursue my Master's in Computer Science at SUNY Buffalo. Like many international students, I dreamed of building a better future for myself and my family. To fund my education in the U.S., I took an education loan of $40,000.

In August 2023, my life took an unexpected and devastating turn when I began experiencing severe and unbearable joint pain, significantly impacting my daily life. Despite numerous consultations with doctors in both the U.S. and India, the cause of my suffering remained unclear for some time. As the pain intensified to the point where I could barely walk, I made the difficult decision to return to India in Jan 2025 for further support and diagnosis.

After several medical evaluations in India, I received the heartbreaking diagnosis of B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL), a rare and aggressive form of blood cancer characterized by an excessive presence of immature blood cells (blast cells). At the time of diagnosis, my blast cell count was critically high at 88%, and my red blood cell count had severely declined, causing severe anemia.

Currently, I am receiving chemotherapy and specialized medical care at Apollo Hospitals in Bangalore. Although I have successfully completed initial rounds of chemotherapy, the treatment has already cost more than $30,000, placing an immense financial strain on my family. Doctors have informed me that my treatment will involve additional rounds of chemotherapy, ongoing supportive care, medications, and possibly a stem cell transplant. The estimated additional cost of my upcoming treatment and recovery is between $40,000 to $50,000.

I am humbly seeking your help to raise $50,000, which will cover the upcoming medical treatments, emergency expenses, and recovery support. Your contribution, no matter how small or large, will ease the heavy financial burden and allow me to focus fully on fighting this disease and regaining my health.
