Help Gourdie Get Life-Saving Surgery
Donation protected
I like to joke that the humane society didn't adopt us out a cat, but a lemon. However, the truth is Gourdie has been with us less than a year and he's had a hard life. He was abandoned at the humane society, put in with a foster home that didn't realize they needed to socialize with the kittens to socialize them. Put up for adoption, shoved in a home with 5 adult cats, and then was returned to the humane society in less than a week for being feral. That's where we found him. Less than 6 months old, hiding in the top kennel making himself small. That's where we found him after we lost my cat Jack due to his diabetes complications.
Gourdie has had abscessed teeth, been diagnosed with feline idiopathic cystitis, feline lower urinary tract disease, a heart murmur, and now bladder stones. He needs surgery. We've exhausted our funds with previous appointments, tests, and scans. So this is my last-ditch effort because every grant I've tried so far has come to a dead end. We've got part of the surgical fees but I'm trying to raise at least 1500 dollars to get the rest of the way and get him on Monday at Firgrove Veterinary Clinic in Puyallup, Washington. I wish we had more time so I could fundraise in other ways, but Gourdie's bladder is full of stones and is currently a ticking time bomb.
