For more than 82 years, Gospel Lighthouse has been committed to serving people and sharing the message of hope in our communities. Recently, our ministry made the decision through much prayer to step out in faith and relocate from Northeast Kansas City to the Western Independence area to begin a new work and continue reaching people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Like many churches starting in a new place, this transition has come with unexpected challenges. A property sale that we had hoped would help support this new chapter ultimately did not move forward, and the funds we anticipated for ministry needs are not available.

As part of this new chapter, we are grateful to currently be meeting in a rented space provided by the congregation of Mount Washington Baptist Church while we establish this new ministry in the community.

One of the most immediate needs for our church right now is transportation. A reliable church van that allows us to help members attend services who are without transportation, and provide for future outreach efforts in the community we are now serving.

We are asking for the help of friends, family, and anyone who believes in supporting local ministry to help us raise funds ($10,000) for a dependable church van so we can continue serving people and building this new work in Independence.

Every gift will go directly toward helping Gospel Lighthouse secure safe and reliable transportation for ministry and outreach.
