Goshen Grange #561 is a pillar of the Goshen community. There are 160 granges in Oregon, and they are a national organization. This Family Fraternal Society supports veterans with POW and MIA donations. They support children in third-world countries by donating shoes. They provide education to the community. They provide Christmas gifts to families in need. They support Alcoholics Anonymous by providing them meeting space. They support the local Girl Scouts by providing space. They even cook for the Ronald McDonald House every two months. And they need new flooring.
Goshen Grange #561 was established in 1917. Their roots are in agricultural which was founded in 1867 to represent farmers in rural areas such as Goshen. They advocated for fair wages and lower food costs.
I came across the non-profit organization Goshen Grange #561, while traveling back home. They had a sign up for a holiday bazaar to raise funds for new floors in the church. This is where I met Linda Wetzell. She greeted me with open arms and provided baked goods for my long journey. I sat down with her and asked her to tell me the grange’s story. She expressed such gratitude and passion for Goshen Grange #561, which is why I am reaching out to the community to help.
While it is small, it is full of love and faith. They were quoted $20,000 for new flooring. The Grange has raised $5,000 already, but is in desperate need of support. Please help me support them how they have supported the community.
