Gordy (Grit), our dad, has always been the first to lend a hand to others in need.
Recently, he went in for what was supposed to be a routine outpatient heart procedure, but things took a turn for the worse.
That night, he suffered a cardiac arrest and has now been in the Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital to ICU for over a week.
What we thought would be a quick recovery has turned into a much longer and more uncertain road.
As Gordy begins his fight to recover, he will need extensive physical therapy and important safety updates at home to help him regain his independence.
He also has a deep love for his animals.
His horse is about to foal, and caring for them is one of the things that brings him the most joy.
Right now, he can’t be there for them, so we’re doing everything we can to step in and make sure they’re safe and cared for.
Gordy has spent his life showing up for others. If you’re able to support him now, it would mean the world to our family.
Every donation, message, and prayer helps as he works toward recovery and getting back to the life he loves.
Thank you for the love, support, and strength you’ve already shown — we feel it every day.
