Gordon Stewart is a lonely 87-year-old Jew living in the Bay Area who desperately needs our financial assistance. Gordon, who has worked hard all his life, suffers from multiple severe and deteriorating health conditions and has trouble making ends meet.
Thankfully, we have secured Gordon's new assisted living facility, which generously awarded him a financial scholarship that partially covers his rent. However, this scholarship is insufficient to cover his living and medical expenses. As a result, we are looking to raise the required amount (60 thousand dollars), which will enable him to securely and peacefully enjoy the rest of his life in the new facility.
Gordon is a kind and noble person who appreciates life and the help he receives.
Let us all help our dear Gordon live with dignity and comfort. Please help us make sure this happens. Thank you.
GoFundMe asked me to add the below details to the story which I am more than happy to do -
Who you are - my name is Noam Kedem and I am a close friend of Gordon's. I am married and a father to three amazing children whom I am very proud of. I work in tech and in personal development, and have been living in Silicon Valley since my wife and I came here from Israel, more than twenty years ago.
Where you're from - originally from Israel, I have been calling Silicon Valley home for the last twenty plus years.
Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for - Not long after arriving here, we met Gordon at a Macy's store where he was selling suits. We fell in love with this kind, English, Jewish gentleman and adopted him as a local grandparent to our kids. He has been coming to our house for Friday dinners and holiday dinners multiple times a month over the course of the last twenty plus years. Our kids treat him as their local grandfather and we all deeply care about him.
How the funds will be used (please be specific as possible) - The funds will go toward paying Rhoda Goldman Plaza in San Francisco who generously agreed to award Gordon with a partial scholarship and a place to live in their assisted living facility when no other facilities were willing to host him.
If you intend to withdraw the funds to your own bank account, how you plan to send the funds to the parties you're raising funds for or use the funds on their behalf - As soon as funds are transferred and in my bank account my plan is to immediately wire transfer them over to Rhoda Goldman Plaza in Gordon's name for his exclusive use.
Thank you again for reading and helping us out with this mitzvah cause.
