Gordo, my beloved chihuahua, was hospitalized two days ago and diagnosed with ITP. He has an upper GI bleed, and the cause of his bleeding is still unknown. Yesterday, his platelets dropped below critical, and he needed an emergency blood transfusion to save his life. Now, Gordo must be transferred to another hospital ICU so his bleeding can be closely monitored and he can receive another transfusion if needed.

We rescued Gordo and his brother Cuco from a shelter when they were just puppies. Since then, they have become our entire world. Cuco and Gordo are not only brothers but also best friends, inseparable since birth. Right now, Cuco is searching everywhere for his brother, and it breaks our hearts to see them apart. Gordo is only 7 years old and has his whole life ahead of him. We want to do everything we can to get him stable and into remission, so he can come home to his family and his best friend.

The funds raised will go directly toward Gordo’s ICU care and any future blood transfusions he may need. Any donation, no matter the size, will go a long way.
