Hi everyone. I’m raising money to help pay Goose’s medical bills. Goose has been diagnosed with FIP, or Feline Infectious Peritonitis, which would have been a death sentence until recently when medication became available. FIP is a genetic mutation that, when combined with feline coronavirus, causes the cat’s immune system to overreact and begin to attack the body. This leads to fluid leaking into his abdomen, putting pressure on his internal organs. Including the risk to his heart and lungs, it also significantly reduces his appetite, leading to weight loss.
Goose is an absolute angel, the sweetest cat in the entire world, and I love him to the moon and back. I'm going to do absolutely everything I can to get him happy and healthy again, but it won’t be cheap.
The FIP medication is several hundred dollars a bottle, hospital visits are nearly $2k a visit, and that’s before we pay for medication to help him feel less nausea and increase his appetite.
Anything you can give to help Goose continue fighting, I would be eternally thankful for.
— Aidan
