Hi everyone,

My name is Mickey, and I am reaching out on behalf of Gonzalo Diaz, our Manager here at Mickey's Deli in Hermosa Beach.

On October 20th, Gonzalo suffered a massive stroke and is currently in the hospital recovering.

Gonzalo started working at Mickey's in 1990 and has had a tremendous impact not only on our business but on the community as a whole. If you've come to Mickey's in the last 35 years, there's a good chance that he personally helped you.

He is a leader and a fighter, and we wanted to reach out to the community to come together and help Gonzalo during this time of uncertainty.

At this moment, he has zero mobility on the left side of his body, and we do not yet have an accurate timeframe for his recovery; there are still many unknowns.

Funds will be managed by his daughter and used to support his recovery/rehabilitation needs and the household expenses directly impacted by his medical condition.
