Hello! My name is Gonzalo, and I’m a young light lyric tenor dedicated to the art of opera. I’ve been given an incredible opportunity: I was accepted into two of the most prestigious opera training programs in Europe, the Franco-American Vocal Academy (FAVA) in France, where I’ll perform the role of Paris in La Belle Hélène by Offenbach, and the American Institute of Musical Studies (AIMS) in Austria, a world-renowned program that brings together emerging opera talent with top-tier vocal coaches, conductors, and agents.
These programs will allow me to refine my technique, deepen my artistry, and build the international connections that are essential for a professional career in opera. They are more than just summer courses, they are stepping stones toward becoming the best opera singer I can be.
Unfortunately, despite being accepted, the tuition and travel costs for both programs are beyond what I can currently afford. That’s why I’m reaching out for your support. Any contribution you make, no matter how small, will help cover tuition, housing, meals, and travel, allowing me to take full advantage of these transformative experiences.
Supporting this campaign means supporting the future of opera and investing in an artist who is passionately committed to growing, giving, and sharing this beautiful art form with the world.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
With gratitude,
Gonzalo Ochoa Camarena
