My name is Stanley, and I’m reaching out for help for my best friend, Goliath. Goliath is a 112 lb Mastiff bully mix who has been by my side through thick and thin. Recently, while we were at the park, Goliath tore his CCL ligament. It was heartbreaking to see him in pain, and I had to make the difficult decision to spend my rent money on his emergency care. Now, with rent due and more bills piling up, I’m facing the possibility of losing our home.
Goliath and I have been through a lot together. For five years, we were homeless, flying signs on street corners and relying on the kindness of strangers. Goliath is not just my companion—he’s my service dog and is well known and loved in our community. We finally got our own apartment, and it’s been a dream come true to have a place to call home. But with these unexpected vet bills, I’m scared we could lose everything we’ve worked so hard for.
The money raised will help me pay my rent, buy food, and cover Goliath’s vet bills, possible surgery, medications, and his food. I’m asking for help so we don’t have to go back to being homeless and so Goliath can get the care he needs to recover. Any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. Thank you for reading our story and for considering helping us stay safe, healthy, and together.
