Help Goldie Safely Receive Care in Her Home
Donation protected
My mom, Goldie, was admitted to St. Francis last Friday January 24th, with Flu A. She’s had MS for 35 years, and we now realize also has severe sleep apnea, she stops breathing 40-50 times an hour. She’s currently back home and on oxygen, and has been using a CPAP at night, while we fight to get her in to a sleep study as soon as possible.
I’m asking for help because I cannot leave her home alone, and risk her falling asleep and not breathing. Someone has to be here if I am not, and I can’t afford to pay someone to be here as often as we need, if I have to go to work, the grocery store, anywhere really.
We are hopeful that the sleep study will happen soon so we can know what type of sleep apnea she has and can find an effective treatment.
If you know me, you know I’m an only child and I don’t have anyone else to help me with everything, family-wise. My friends are helping as much as they can, and I’m leaning on them, but I realize they can only do so much, so here I am. I hate asking for help like this but I don’t know what else to do. Thank you for reading this and thank you for donating and sharing it, if you can
