Help Going Forward

Going Forward is a project created by Central Washington University business majors with the sole purpose of bringing the community together to help each other as we go forward during this pandemic! Help Going Forwards's goal is to raise awareness and donations so we can purchase gift certificates from struggling family-owned, local restaurants within the Kittitas County community. With the purchase of those gift cards, businesses will be able to remain open, ultimately providing food and jobs to the members within the community. Next, Help Going Forwards goal is to take those gift certificates and collaborate with the Kittitas County Community Resource and Economic Relief Board!  We will work with the Community Recovery Fund Distribution Committee to ensure the gift cards are distributed to Kittitas County residents in greatest need.


This is going to take a collection of people to  help save our family owned restaurants. Now would be a great time to give back for all those times they sponsored our children's team sports or donated to their schools events!  Saving these businesses is more than just helping out the economy, it's about saving a legacy that a family has worked years to create.
 
Families in need are already struggling with things we may take for granted every day. A fully stocked pantry is a dream for some. What Help Going Forward commits to is giving these families a stress-free dinner, supplied by those gift certificates, so they may sit around their dinner table and enjoy a night of talking and laughing with each other that they may not have gotten otherwise.

The amazing opportunity that has arose from this terrible pandemic, is that we will become a stronger unit after this. We are able to come together and strengthen our core set of values of what it means to be a community.

We can all be apart of the Help Going Forward during this unforgiving next chapter of our lives.
