Help GM Fight Glioblastoma: A Call for Compassion
Donation protected
Hello, I am attempting to raise money for my friend Linda Vendura and her husband, Walter Vendura (Grand Master) who is bravely battling Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) an aggressive form of brain cancer. Grand Master was recently diagnosed after being rushed to the hospital for sudden onset of left sided weakness and a loss of sight. Testing revealed multiple large tumors.
Despite the poor prognosis, his wish is to be home to be surrounded by family and friends. The aggressive nature of Grand Master’s cancer has unfortunately left him with a short amount of time to live, making each moment precious.
Grand Master has served the community over the years by sharing his passion for the Martial Arts and teaching. His training began in Tae Kwon Do while he was serving our country in Vietnam in 1967 with Korean soldiers and has continued throughout his life yielding him an 8th degree black belt. He has enjoyed teaching and has strived to have an impact on his students, empowering and encouraging them to find their passion. He has been a dedicated, passionate, and authentic instructor who has served many different types of students throughout his journey.
Hospice is involved but is very limited due to lack of employees and service that they are currently able to provide at home. Unfortunately, the level of care, extra support, and equipment he needs to be at home comes at an exorbitant cost. It is not covered by insurance. The last 3-4 months of medical issues have been emotionally and financially draining. Linda and Grand Master are really battling.
Our goal is to assist with medical expenses during this tough time, to ensure that Linda and Grand Master have the support they need. For that reason, I am humbly requesting your help to assist them fight this battle by donating whatever you can, however big or small, it will make a HUGE difference. Please continue to send positive energy, thoughts, well wishes, and prayers for them. I know you have all been a big part of their lives and that they appreciate each and every one of you more than you even realize.
Help GM fulfill his last wish of remaining at home with Linda. Your generosity and compassion would mean everything at this time.
Thank you for standing with GM and Linda during this fight.
“In the end it, it is the strength of one’s commitment and the firmness of one’s resolve that will determine the course and outcome of one’s journey along the noble path.”
