Help Gloria Receive Daily Care Assistance

Dear friends and family,

We are reaching out to share the journey of our mom, Gloria, who has been courageously battling cancer for the past 7 years. Throughout this time, she has shown immense strength, grace, and resilience, inspiring everyone around her. Despite giving her all in this fight, she has decided to pursue no more treatments and enter in-home hospice care.

The past week her ability to move around and be self-sufficient has greatly declined. She needs help getting dressed, going to the bathroom, taking her pain meds, and all the little things we take for granted.

As many of you know, she lives with our dad who suffered from a stroke 4 years ago, and still has great difficulty communicating and doing things himself. So he is not able to offer much support.

We, Anna and Brooke, have been splitting our time flying back and forth to Maryland from California, as well as coordinating with friends and family, to ensure she has someone visiting her each day. But the level of care and support she needs has exceeded what we’re able to coordinate on a daily basis. We need to bring in a daily aide to help her.

The cost of an aide is approximately $560 a week. This accounts for a $20/hr aide to come in for 4 hours a day.

We, Anna and Brooke, have already gone well above our financial capabilities in caring for both our parents. Any help you can offer us at this time would be greatly appreciated.
