Friends,

Sharing a quick update: I've just completed my third round of chemo. Tests and scans later this month will determine next steps. Four years ago, I was diagnosed with Stage IVB metastatic urothelial carcinoma (bladder cancer). Though it had spread to my lymph nodes, lungs, liver, and spine, God healed me. I had no evidence of disease as of one year ago.

We've recently found a recurrence; it has spread to my lymph nodes and upper colon this time. I'll repeat the chemo cocktail that has been successful in the past. It is a blend of four meds, including a platinum chemo drug that will make my hair fall out again. I'll be re-evaluated after taking three rounds (July, August, September).

God has lovingly brought me through opposing odds to let me see our family grow by another grandson! Harrison Brooks Calderon was born earlier in June. Praise Him!

If you feel led to pray, here are some ways you can do so:

That I'll tolerate the chemo, and that I'll be able to function effectively "enough" - whatever that may look like.

That the weight of my treatments will not be hard on my loved ones, especially my sweet husband.

That I will encourage others who need it - that my joy will be abundant and contagious.

That I'll point to Jesus every step of the way.

I've already seen miracle after miracle. I am not discouraged. I trust God to make my story beautiful. Alleluia! Love you BIG!
