I am a 100% disabled Air Force veteran pursuing a doctoral degree in criminal justice, a path that can open doors to advanced leadership roles in law enforcement, academia, government, and the private sector. About a year ago, I began this journey with high hopes and determination to make a positive impact in my field and community.
However, my life took an unexpected turn when my son was hospitalized and spent six days in a coma. The emotional toll was immense, and the financial burden quickly followed. Hospital bills and ongoing treatment costs for my son required immediate attention, and I used all my available funds to ensure he received the care he needed. As a result, I fell behind in my studies and tuition payments, struggling to keep up with both academic and financial responsibilities.
Now, I am at a critical point. I have been informed that unless I pay my overdue tuition from last year up to now, I will be released from my doctoral program. Completing this degree means everything to me—it represents years of hard work, sacrifice, and the hope of creating a better future for myself and my family. Your support will help me stay enrolled, catch up on my tuition, and move closer to graduation within the next six months. I am deeply grateful for any contribution, no matter the size, as it brings me one step closer to achieving my dream and making a meaningful difference in the world.
