I am asking for your help. My name is Glen. I’m 12 years sober and a proud member of the 12 step community.

In March of 2021, I was in a car accident; I was hit by another car that caused me to crash into a pole. My car was totaled, but more importantly this accident caused me to be unable to walk due to severe knee and nerve damage. I was able to walk for 6 months with a cane and lots of knee pain. Eventually the pain and trauma progressed, and I was unable to walk. I was hospitalized for 8 weeks and then transferred to a rehabilitation facility where I still reside. It’s been over 7 months of lying in bed. I am improving with physical therapy, but very minimally. Stem-cell treatment has been recommended for me, and I am a good candidate. Unfortunately, although the driver was found to be at fault and there was a settlement, it left me very little after paying my medical bills. I cannot afford the stem cell treatment and it is my last hope to get significantly better. I am asking for help to allow me to walk again.
