We’re raising funds to send a group of incredible students from Glebe Elementary School in Arlington, Virginia to the VEX Robotics World Championships this April.
This year we launched a brand-new robotics program at Glebe, and it has been a resounding success. Our students compete in VEX Robotics, an international program where teams design, build, and program robots to compete in fast-paced, strategic challenges. Along the way, they develop real-world skills in engineering, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication.
In our very first season, one of our teams achieved something remarkable: they won the Virginia State Championship.
Even more impressive, they did it competing in the middle school division - as 4th and 5th graders.
That win has earned them a spot at the VEX Robotics World Championships, where they’ll compete against top teams from around the globe.
For some of these students, this is their first exposure to hands-on engineering. Opportunities like this are rare at the elementary level, and the impact has been immediate: students are building confidence, learning how to think critically, and discovering what they’re capable of.
Now we need your help to get them there.
Your support will help cover:
Travel and lodging for the team
Competition registration fees
Equipment and materials
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps give these students the chance to represent Arlington on a global stage.
Thank you for supporting the next generation of engineers, problem-solvers, and innovators.
