Glass Crafters Stained Glass Closes Due To Flooding From Hurricane Debby – Urgent Call for Donations
Glass Crafters Stained Glass, proudly based in Sarasota, has offered supplies, education and inspiration to glass enthusiasts around the country for nearly 50 years. Unfortunately, Hurricane Debby caused severe flooding and the shop has closed to address the damages.
Beyond replacing shelving, furnishings and inventory, the store-front and warehouse are the heart of the business. It’s where customers come to marvel at new glass pieces for their projects, where classes are hosted, and where they pack and ship online orders.
Closing for any amount of time cripples their ability to operate. Without replacement revenue during this time of closure, they will not be able to reopen.
Owners Gina and George McGuire (my wonderful in-laws) have worked so hard to build their business out of love and appreciation for this craft. Your support will help Glass Crafters to continue supplying tools and materials, education and inspiration to the art glass community.
Please consider donating, and please share this message with your glass crafting friends.
Gina and George could also use help at the store disposing of damaged furnishings and materials, and setting back up once the building is restored.
Please click now to donate $20 or more. Please call the studio if you would like to volunteer.
