Gladys Stubb's, is 92 years old and has spent nearly five decades working at a local laundry. Despite her years of hard work, the business eventually closed, leaving her without retirement or savings. She was never able to set aside money for her future. Now, Gladys faces memory challenges that make it difficult for her to live completely on her own.
She needs assisted living care, but unfortunately, Medicare does not cover these costs, and our application for Medicaid was not successful. Gladys doesn't qualify for a nursing home because she can still feed, bathe, and dress herself, and she is not bedridden. This leaves us in a difficult position, as assisted living expenses are substantial and my income alone is not enough to support her needs.
I am reaching out to the community for help so Gladys can continue to live with dignity and enjoy her independence in a safe, supportive environment. Your generosity will make a real difference in her life, and any contribution will help make her Mother's Day special while she is still with us. Thank you for supporting Gladys and helping her live out the rest of her life with comfort and care.
